Buzzer Beater Helps Lead 2029 Ignite to March Madness Championship

UH Elite showcased its March madness heroics Sunday with multiple buzzer-beaters at the Legacy Youth Sports March Madness. 2028 Ignite went 4-0 on the weekend, thanks in part to its thrilling semifinal victory at the Phhacility. Trailing by two with under 10 seconds remaining, Trey Cicerelli grabbed the defensive rebound off of a missed free throw and advanced the ball to Kendell Stapleton, who pulled up for the game-winning three and a 62-61 win over SMAC. That was followed by Brexton Quinet scoring 10 points and being named MVP in Ignite’s 42-41 win over the Phenoms to bring home the championship. 

Earlier in the day it was Juice Young III getting his game-winning-shot off just before the buzzer to help 2030 Black to a 38-36 win over Peak Basketball in the semifinals as the team brought home second in the 6th Gold Division. 2032 also brought home silver going 3-1 on the weekend, falling in a closely fought battle to PHX Fire Boys 50-44 in the championship.
